- 10-15-2000 Added a
Mushroom
Wine Gravy recipe.
- 09-08-2000 Quick dump of digital camera photos taken at
Deep Creek
- 09-01-2000 Yo. My friends don't seem to make web pages anymore.
Many of the sites I used to visit don't update regularly. I went
kayaking and boogie boarding in the waves last weekend instead of
installing a modem at home. No modem at home means no web at home.
That'd have been unthinkable a year ago. But ya know what?
Real life is cool.
- 07-29-2000 Whoops... remind me not to chortle so easily. :)
Anyhow, here's some recipes I found from my childhood Chocolate Cream
Cheese Topping and Lemon Jello Cake.
- 07-26-2000 Hah, yet another exercize in delegation. I've
delegated away the day to day maintenance of the Kung Fu Calendar as well as the
main AHKFS site. New domain name, woo
hoo! There's even new email addresses for those sites which came with
the domain.
We finished moving last weekend (long relaxed move, so you don't have to
feel sympathetic :-) and as part of the cleanup, finally threw out the
very last of the apricots from summer 98. heh. ;-) It was a
refrigerated jar of stewed and sweetened apricots. I think I opened
it sometime last year to taste it. It tasted fine then but I wasn't
so brave this year. :)
Finally, here's a haut cuisine recipe from the
kitchens of sunspark & mer: Tuna and Capers Pasta.
- 06-11-2000 Uploaded the first set of underwater pictures from our
trip to Bonaire.
- 04-10-2000 Updated my food log
for the last time with the last three weeks. All good things must come
to an end, except that's not true and I think the
dinner ring thing will continue. I also
finally typed in the Chicken
with Lemon and Olives recipe that Carol
made a couple of months ago.
RAM is cheap again! We doubled our memory on the photoshop machine
today by adding 64mb. :-) And sunspark got a brand new,
perfectly good piece of equipment and immediately proceeded to take
it apart.
- 04-06-2000 Made my top-level homepage blue again after my brother
pointed out it was no longer blue. I'd been kind of intending to
do it for a while but I thought maybe people didn't notice. :-)
And replaced the bluewings image
with my latest figure bow sketch.
- 03-20-2000 Food yesterday and the week
before.
- 03-09-2000 A bit of food last
weekend.
- 03-01-2000 Switched the image on the title page to blue wings.
- 02-28-2000 Food last weekend
and the one before. Since the
beginning of this year I've broken a finger and gotten hit by a car while
I was walking. I'm fine. The car barely touched me
actually. Note to self: do not wear all black in the rain in the
dark, and if a car is headed my way, remember to move.
The finger was a separate incident and I've stopped wearing the
splint.
- 02-13-2000 Yeah yeah yeah, who would've guessed?
Food tonight and last weekend.
- 02-01-2000 Food last
sunday
and not before. And we got windows 98 and it only took 3 tries
for sunspark to install it
and it wasn't even windows' fault, entirely. We're still reinstalling
software. I battled the Wacom software last night trying to get
pressure sensitivity to work in Photoshop again. No go, new "updated"
drivers can't install and when I make them, the pen doesn't work. Hm...
But we got a new big disk. :)

Oh, and Perforce is a great
revision control application. We bought it at work, but the 2 user
license is free so I might just have to install it at home. As soon
as we get a Windows 2000 machine to run the server. But the client
runs on almost anything, even an Amiga! Or VMS, when's the last time
you used VMS? Then I'll get to have revision control on this site!

- 01-17-2000 Just the standard food log entries for
yesterday
and before.
- 01-02-2000 Back from vacation. Tried to get a photo quality printer
today but the Epson 700 is being replaced by the new more expensive 750 so
the only one we could find was the floor model at Frye's. Hrm, oughta
have gotten one a few weeks ago. Favorite Christmas gifts: a picture book
of Vallejo fantasy art, a tablecloth with oak leaves, a framed picture of
dolphins in blue and black etched metal. My dad let me be "Cooking
Commander" this year for Christmas eve dinner. We had a few neighbors
over and there was a lot of food. I gave my mom a pledge of housecleaning this
year, so did a lot of that over vacation. Tie dyeing was the preferred
activity with some boomerang adventures thrown in for good measure.
