Computers
- Motorola - The makers of the
cool HC11 family of microcontrollers
- Autocad - Tutorial
- I've got an example of web
passwording because I keep forgetting how it works.
- An excellent tutorial on how to make beveled buttons in photoshop.
- The BOFH
isn't exactly a computer. Amusing nonetheless.
- I don't write DOS batch
files often enough to remember the syntax. Besides their list
of the batch file commands, this page also includes some (all?)
regular DOS commands and their arguments. Note that the "IF EXISTS
..." seems not to work. I've had better luck with "IF EXIST ..."
There's also a "Getting
Started" DOS page which is presented clearly but pretty basic.
- I've always wondered why Kernighan and Ritchie doesn't include the
ASCII Character set. (And I'm not geeky
enough to have memorized the entire thing. :-)
- Notes for me about Unix/MIT mail.
- Emacs
is the programmer's editor of choice (well, if you're me :-)
- Notes for me about Jeremy's Tarkintest mud.
This isn't intended to be useful to anyone except me.
- To fix the "double frames" icky bugs with web pages,
use "target=_top" within the "<a ..." tag. Importantly,
"target=top" doesn't work.
- To retain FTP Voyager sites when upgrading computers, copy the
FtpVoyager.ftp file from the place where ftpvoyager was installed.
